Meeting Called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Glen Wink.

Motion by Jim B seconded by Steve to approve minutes as printed. Motion passed.

Motion by Steve seconded by Roger to approve treasurer’s report. Motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
Þ Bill updated us on the scholarship fundraiser for Art, event will be Sept 8 at Elk Lake Heritage Preserve. 8:00 registration, hunting beginning at 9:00. 11:00 lunch. There will be a free will offering. VIP packages mailed out and need to be sent back by Sept 1st. Need volunteers, contact Mark at 320-760-2559 after 6:00
Þ Last month John moved to request 1,500.00 seed money to support Art Engelbrecht Scholarship fundraiser and other support as needed later, contingent on approval of board members. Motion passed at Aug mtg.
Þ Bill updated us on the Williams property, the state made its final offer.
Þ Web page is being worked on.
Þ Fair booth Barb said we still need help for a few spots.
Þ Banquet will be March 27, 2007
Þ Bemo pond sign, wood is here, needs to be lettered, Mark will contact Bob Wise. Committee to get sign up is Steve Hosking, Mark Anderson and Roger Wittmer
Þ Cliff updated us on the hardwood property, the forestry person who came out to look at woods was amazed at the quality of the hardwoods. DNR will work with us. Dewayne Bisek said he would give us access to get in and out, he also is considering putting 108 acres into wildlife area.
NEW BUSINESS
Þ Lease for building between Viking Sportsmen and the School district. Motion by Curt, seconded by Arlene to renew lease. Motion passed.
Þ Alex youth trap league took 62/100 at nationals. Was brought up that we need to consider a limit to spend on youth activities.
Þ Need a co-chairperson for the Ice Fishing Challenge from Viking Sportsmen. Curt Flesner volunteered.
Þ Raffle tickets are here for the Ice Fishing Challenge please pick yours up tonight or contact Jim Stratton for yours. Jim can be reached at 808-5096.
Þ Mark acknowledged DATA for donation to Jr. Viking Sportsmen of $500.00. Send Thank you card to them.
Þ Mike Shelden through Mark wanted to thank the sportsmen for the use of the Bemo building for firearm safety classes.
Þ Dean Beck would like to use the Bemo building in September for a meeting on restrictions on lakes.
Þ Syl wanted to let us know about ATV training October 6 at Alexandria Shooting Park. This training is open to youth 11-15 years old
Þ Mark had a request again this year to help pay for a summer intern to help with CRP sign up. There was a motion and second to donate what we gave last year which was $380.00. Motion passed.
Þ DU would like a donation for their banquet coming up September 20, 2007. Motion by Barb, seconded by Cliff to donate $250.00. Motion passed.
Motion by Arlene, seconded by Jim B to adjourn. Motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting is Wednesday September 19, 2007 at the Bemo Building
