Þ We need to start thinking of a speaker for our annual meeting in January.
Þ Viking Sportsmen along with Sertoma purchased a tree in memory of Jim Stratton’s mother who recently passed away.
Þ Syl requested a donation for the upcoming DATA banquet. Motion by Jim B to donate $250.00, seconded by Jim S. Motion passed. Chuck Bokinskie moved to amend donation by adding 6 T-shirts from the fishing committee, seconded by Steven Henry. Motion passed.
Þ Jim Stratton mentioned the comment about limiting the amount of money spent on youth activities. If we don’t spend some money and time getting our youth involved who will carry on the mission for preserving the great outdoors. We need to ask our youth groups that we donate to to help with some of the events we are doing each year, get them involved. Need to get more youth activities to promote outdoor activities.
Þ Bill and Art attended the Osakis Sportsmen meeting. They are moving archery program into elementary level. Last year the Osakis archery team went on to nationals.
Motion by Gene to adjourn, seconded by Jim B. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned.
