Meeting called to order at 5:55 p.m. by President Glen Wink.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Motion by Gene to accept minutes, seconded by Mark.  Motion passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Dale wasn’t at the meeting but got the report to me the next day.

OLD BUSINESS

Þ   Display board – Barb is working on this, we need info on the various projects going on.

Þ   Pamphlets –The committee of Glen, Belinda, Jim Baxter and Barb is still waiting for info from committees.

Þ   Fair booth – see Belinda for a spot to help out, should have raffle tickets for the ice fishing challenge by then.

Þ   Scholarship recipients – see if we can get them at the next meeting so we can get pictures of them.

Þ   Banquet for next year – Jim Baxter checking on prices and rooms, still waiting for Broadway Ballroom, hopes to have more info at next meeting.

Þ   Website – The address is www.vikingsportsmen.org, check it out there is more work to be done but it is a work in progress.

Þ   Customer appreciation day at Alex Ag-The Country Store – Harv would like Viking Sportsmen to participate at this event to let the community know more about us and what we do.  Since the meeting in July I have talked to Harv and the date is in September.  I will have more info at the August meeting.

Þ   Dedicated Funding – Mark would like clubs from around the county to get together and pool resources, he would like to see a billboard up, cost is approx $700.00.  Mark, Gene, Bill and Jerry Krebs is on the committee to get advertising and info out to the public about this issue.

Þ   Bemo sign is done.

Þ   Safe will be delivered July 10^th.

Þ   Roger Holmes Wildlife Management Area – Building was removed.  Checking on if some of the food plots were planted this year.

NEW BUSINESS

Þ   Arlene moved to give the Chippewa 4-H club 150.00 for helping all day with Sr. Fishing, seconded by Barb.  Motion passed

Þ   Serving in August – Glen and Belinda Wink

Motion to adjourn by Arlene, seconded by Gene.  Motion passed.
